NewTechKids is heading to South Korea in early October to give a talk at the International Symposium of Science Museums 2016.

Organised by the National Science Museum of Korea, the event focuses on sharing creative and inspiring ideas from around the world which aim to develop better science museums and centers in the future, engage the public in diverse themes of science and technology, and facilitate STEM activities in informal settings.

Deborah Carter, one of our co-founders, will be sharing NewTechKids’ approach to informal computer science education, including strategies for developing new learning experiences which engage primary school aged students (especially girls), fostering local and international partnerships, and collaborating with tech companies to help kids understand how the technologies in their everyday lives work.

Other organisations which will give presentations include the Smithsonian Institute, the Norwegian Museum of Science and Technology, Getty Research Institute, Seoul National Science Museum, the University of Bristol and the International Council of Museums, among others.

Stay tuned. We’ll be providing updates via our blog and social media channels.
