NewTechKids is thrilled to announce that Deborah Carter, its co-founder, will speak at the TEDxAmsterdamED event on March 26th at the new Theater Amsterdam.
Under the theme “The Education (r)evolution”, the event will examine the central issue: “Is revolution needed for education to evolve, or is the future of education already within reach? From the tiny shifts that make a huge difference to the ground-breaking movements shaking the system. We will explore The Education (r)evolution and the balancing act between continuity and change.”
Deborah will talk about the need to make technology and programming education available to all kids, beginning in primary school. She’ll discuss the need to create education ecosystems in our communities which help children acquire a strong foundation to understand technology: how it works, why it works and how to think in order to fix problems and invent new solutions.
“Silicon Valley is one of many ecosystems. Kids with ideas and potential are literally everywhere. Let’s start developing our own technology innovation hub right here in Amsterdam.”
The event will be live streamed.
