NewTechKids is happy to announce the themes of our six, week-long summer bootcamps for kids ages 8-12.
Kids will become tech inventors and dive into designing, building and coding with LEGO Mindstorms along with art supplies and props. (There will also be breaks for outdoor play time.)
All bootcamps will take place at the Amsterdam Public Library from 10:00 – 14:00. Bootcamps will be taught in a combination of Dutch and English by professional teachers.
July 18 – 22, 2022: Around the World in Five Days
Kids will complete a virtual, around-the-world tour, inventing robots for different geographic locations, cultures and famous sites as they go.
July 25-29, 2022: Robots Making Art
Kids will channel their artistic expression by creating robot art: sculpture, music, drawing, dance and more.
August 1-5, 2022: Books & Films Come to Life with Tech
Kids will design and code robots and tech prototypes based on well-known kids books and films: ‘Charlie and the Chocolate Factory’, ‘Star Wars’, ‘Harry Potter’, etc.
August 8-12, 2022: Division Q Spy Agency
Kids will join the Division Q Spy Agency and invent spy gadgets that will make James Bond and his team jealous. These missions are totally possible.
August 15-19, 2022: Robots Playing Traditional Games
Kids ages 8-12 will design and code robots to play a series of games before developing their own robot game with strategy, rules and a point system.
August 22-26, 2022: Around the World in Five Days
Kids will complete a virtual, around-the-world tour, inventing robots for different geographic locations, cultures and famous sites as they go.
