On June 4th and 5th, NewTechKids will welcome a delegation of approximately 50 students from Lagos, Nigeria to Amsterdam.

We’ll be teaching a 1.5 day programming bootcamp for students ages 10 – 12, encouraging them to think critically about programming and robotics in the context of automation and to apply design and programming concepts in order to develop a series of tech prototypes.

We’re collaborating with Skyways Travels and Tours Limited, a leading Nigerian travel company which has successfully organized educational excursions for schools to destinations in Africa, Europe, North America, and the Middle East since 2004.

We’re especially thrilled to be partnering with Metis Montessori Lyceum (MML), an Amsterdam high school which has a dedicated programming track (Coderclass) in its curriculum.

MML will host the bootcamp at its school and provide Coderclass students as our teaching assistants. This collaboration demonstrates the school’s commitment to its focus on world orientation and global citizenship.
