NewTechKids wants to partner with one primary school in Diemen or Amsterdam Southeast to bring digital literacy lessons to all of its students (groups 1-8) over the 2025-2026 school year.

We’re looking for a school which serves low-income students and their families: particularly students who would not normally have access to technology education.

We’re looking for a school director and team of teachers who understand the importance of tech education and want to give their students a better understanding of technology usage. Our curriculum will cover topics such as how algorithms work and influence what we experience online, online safety, using apps and Web sites responsibly, and using tech to express their creativity.

We will work closely with your teaching team to develop a curriculum of 8 weekly lessons for each group and plan the year-long schedule. NewTechKids will provide the teacher and the supplies. All we ask is that each classroom teacher is present during each class to assist with classroom management (and to learn how to teach digital literacy).

We will conduct research about student learning and ask teachers to participate in a questionnaire to share their observations and recommendations on how to improve our curriculum and classes.

The main perk: participation is free to a generous corporate donation that we receive.
