NewTechKids is extremely proud of one of our students: Christiaan J. who was chosen to be a member of LEGOLAND Discovery Center Scheveningen‘s Kids Crew. Christiaan has attended 13 NewTechKids bootcamps in the last two years!
The Kids Crew is a group of six children who promote LEGO amongst their peers for a one-year term, helping out with difficult building challenges and attending LEGO events. Christiaan competed with 12 children during a day which included two LEGO construction rounds during which kids created a series of figures based on their own creativity.
According to Priscilla, Christiaan’s mother, “The judges were especially impressed with how easy Christiaan found it to prototype different figures. Attending NewTechKids’ LEGO robotics and coding bootcamps gave Chris an edge in terms of designing, building moving parts. He even designed a figure with moveable parts which was unlike anything the other children produced.”
When Christiaan came to us, he was struggling to find his passion and a group of kids with whom he could connect while working p on creative projects. He’s now an important part of the NewTechKids squad and has found his tribe.
