Deborah Carter, NewTechKids’ Founder and Managing Director, will be MCing sessions at CogX, a global festival on AI & Transformational Technology taking place next week (June 14-16). A hybrid festival physically taking place in London and online, the Festival bills itself as “the world’s largest gathering of CEOs, Entrepreneurs, Academics, Artists, Activists & Policy Makers working to realise the biggest transformational opportunities of our time and address the challenges along the way”.

This year, the Festival will explore the question “How do we get the next 10 years right?” through 1000+ speakers and 18 main themes. Topics will include creativity and technology, cyber defence, tech ethics, the future of work, health and well-being, global leadership, smart cities, next-generation infrastructure and more. Speakers represent companies and organizations such as Amazon, British Airways, the European Commission, the Alan Turing Institute, the United Nations, Backstage Capital, UNICEF, Coursera, Institute for the Future of Work, the OECD, Snap, Cisco and many others.
Why will NewTechKids even be there? Because from an early age, kids must understand AI and cutting-edge tech in terms of how they work and have the ability to think critically about their consequences, implications and ethics. Participating at the Festival will provide inspiration for our lessons, particularly the topics Deborah will moderate including open science, detecting online hate, and fighting misinformation.
