‘Robot Race to Dispose of Toxic Waste’ Challenge: 7-9 years

During this workshop, children aged seven to nine learned about the concepts of programming and automation. The kids explored how technological systems work in terms of input/output, controls, processes and programming. To bring the theme of systems thinking to life, children played an interactive game focused on automation and programming. In teams, the children designed a simple program using pen and paper and then tested it by becoming robots themselves and following their own programming instructions.
