2018 Fall Vacation Computer Science Bootcamp: 7-12 Years

During this computer science bootcamp of five (5) workshops during the Fall 2018 school vacation, kids ages 7-12 will travel the globe while diving into visual programming and robotics through a variety of technology tools.

During each class, they’ll discuss inspring examples of technology before learning about computer science theory. They’ll then learn about a specific geographic location by completing class challenges which involve designing, building and programming technology prototypes in pairs or small teams.

Kids will develop prototypes using Ozobots and LEGO Mindstorms. The curriculum and lessons are based on NewTechKids’ pedagogy which focuses on concept-context learning and the use of tangible objects.
